Non-surgical aesthetic procedures are medical treatments that aim to improve, rejuvenate and tighten facial and body contours without the need for incisions, sutures or extended recovery periods. These treatments are increasingly preferred by patients who are hesitant about surgery or whose concerns do not yet require surgical intervention. Non-surgical methods can be used as a standalone approach or as a supportive treatment before or after surgery.

What Are Non-Surgical Procedures?

Non-surgical procedures fall under the broader category of medical aesthetics. These treatments are carried out through injections, micro-needles, laser fibres or autologous (patient-derived) applications. What they share in common is that they do not require general anaesthesia, can be performed in a short time, and allow most patients to return to daily life the same day.

Main Non-Surgical Aesthetic Methods

1. Dermal Fillers

  • Hyaluronic acid-based fillers support areas that have lost volume — lips, cheekbones, chin, jawline, nasolabial folds and tear trough.
  • Facial contours can be redefined and age-related volume loss can be addressed.

2. Botox (Botulinum Toxin)

  • Effective for mimetic wrinkles around the forehead, glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and crow's feet.
  • Medical indications also include hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), migraine and masseter muscle enlargement.

3. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

  • Based on the use of platelet-rich plasma obtained from the patient's own blood.
  • Supports skin quality, uneven tone, hair thinning and fine lines.

4. Endolift Laser

  • A minimally invasive procedure in which laser energy at 1470 nm is delivered directly beneath the skin via a micro-fibre as fine as a hair strand.
  • Provides both fat reduction and collagen stimulation, particularly in the submental area, jawline and mid-face.

5. Fat-Derived Regenerative Therapy (Stem Cell)

  • A treatment using cells obtained from the patient's own fat tissue, enriched for regenerative potential.
  • Often combined with fat transfer in facial rejuvenation to enhance graft survival and skin quality.

Who Is a Suitable Candidate?

  • Patients who prefer to postpone or avoid surgery
  • Those with mild-to-moderate sagging, volume loss or wrinkles
  • Patients who need supportive treatment before or after an operation
  • Individuals looking for procedures with minimal downtime

Not every non-surgical treatment is suitable for every patient. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, bleeding disorders, active skin infection or certain systemic conditions may be contraindications. A detailed consultation is always required before any application.

Post-Procedure Process

First 24 Hours

  • Mild redness, swelling or tenderness at the treated site is normal.
  • Heat exposure should be avoided after filler and Botox treatments.
  • Intense physical activity is not recommended within the first 24 hours.

First Week

  • The effect of Botox becomes visible within 3–7 days.
  • Mild oedema after filler usually resolves within a week.
  • Minor bruising may occur after Endolift, but same-day return to social life is generally possible.

1–3 Months

  • Collagen-stimulating procedures (PRP, Endolift, regenerative treatments) show gradually increasing results.
  • Repeat sessions — where indicated — are scheduled according to the treatment plan.

Important Considerations

  • Blood-thinning agents (aspirin, vitamin E) should be disclosed before treatment.
  • Active skin infection, herpes outbreak or open wounds require the procedure to be postponed.
  • Sun protection is essential for at least a week after the procedure.
  • Injection areas should not be massaged or pressed in the first 24–48 hours.
